Welcome!

G’day! Jillian here, self-taught artist and founder of dirt road.

From vibrant paintings to intricate charcoal drawings, I strive to capture the rugged charm of the Australian bush and the true essence of this land—unapologetically authentic.

I discovered my passion for art through a (pretty shite) time of recovery and healing. Creative exploration became a joyful outlet.

Teaching myself to draw opened the door to a deep connection with creativity and seemingly, my heart’s purpose... Who knew.

My first true love is charcoal … the realism, the monochromatic look, and the feel of the dusty, messy medium.

I’ve turned more to painting now! I’m drawn to the earthy tones and bush-inspired themes.

I hope my artwork shares a sense of peace and reflection, encouraging you to pause, breathe, and find inspiration in the beauty around you.

Join me to celebrate the raw, unfiltered beauty of Australia, captured through my eyes and hands. Each piece holds a bit of my heart and soul, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
